which is expensive but has a substantial income with it we are told.
On the way here we visited Gold River which was recommended by my Cousin Sara. It was very remote and not pretty but if you could wait 10 years it might have development potential as the next big thing. Unfortunately we dont have that much time to spare.
We were going to travel to the very North end of the Island from there but it would have meant 130 Km along a gravel logging road which is seasonally maintained and we were advised not to attempt it, so we had to retrace our steps to Campbell River, which I hate doing.
We then went to Tofino which is the Canadian equivalent of Dartmouth in the UK. It looks like all the potential here has been exploited already and we dont have the millions to spare to buy into this place. It is very nice though, but not as interesting as Ucluelet.
